Message from the Coach
Parents and Fans,
The Montgomery Bear Basketball Staff would like to take this opportunity to thank you all in advance for your support this 2010-2011 basketball season. The boys have been working hard at all 3 levels at improving every aspect of their skills. We are all excited about the possibilities this season could bring. We have been blessed with young men who are mature and very coachable which makes it fun to go to work each day. Our teams are prepared to make the school, parents, and the community proud to be a Montgomery Bear. Again the staff would like to say "Thank You" for your continued support of our bear basketball teams and we look forward to seeing you at the games.

Coach's Bio - DON JOHNSON
Coach Johnson was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. He is a graduate of Galveston Ball High School, Class Of 1978, where he played basketball from '74-'78. Coach DJ is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University Class Of 1983, and played basketball from '80-'83.
He began teaching and coaching in Midland ISD in 1985: coached Football, Basketball, Track & Tennis in Midland at various times from 1985-1995. In July of 1995, Coach Johnson became the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Montgomery High School, where he still coaches today.
Coach Johnson is blessed with 3 daughters: Denise, Diane, & Sarah Dawn.
